How difficult is it to get an accurate depiction of life on a dirigible? I like to think of you boarding one and living for a while in order to be able to capture it so exquisitely ;)

Gail Carriger The Stuff You Should Know podcast did one on dirigibles recently which was INVALUABLE. I did have to change a few things as a result though. And I took a trip in a hot air balloon, for research purposes (naturally). I think the captain found me disturbing: I kept asking him questions about mourning cannons on the the basket section, and joking about people baffles.

I'm curious about the larger repercussions of your Parasol universe, especially as time shifts toward modern times. Would WWI and WWII be different affairs with possibly different outcomes? Was Finishing School revived for the WWs? Would the Empire last longer and/or be more integrated and progressive? Does the USA ever become less anti-supernatural?
