Does anyone else feel disappointed that this wasn’t a road trip with two brothers? An actual trip on the Lincoln Highway—now that could have been a 500+ page novel of distinction. Maybe it will be the sequel.

I think the characters were able to be flushed out so much more with their interactions with some people that Emmett had history with.(less)
