Goodreads asked Bev C. Harris:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Bev C. Harris If the block is a general one, I go away and do something else. I might clean, or cook, or walk the dogs, or maybe I'll go out into the garden and do something about the weeding. If I feel blocked during writing a specific scene, I just carry on banging away at the keyboard. I might have to delete 95% of it a little later, but there's usually a few gems in there I can build on. That's the beauty of writing on my laptop; I can save and delete, cut and paste. I can walk away completely, and then go back later and pick it up where I need to.
