I'm currently getting the manuscript for Making Sacrifices ready for submission. This is another murder mystery with a supernatural element.

I've always had a vivid imagination. Now I get to indulge it. I can go anywhere and be anyone. I can travel there first class if I want to. I also get to kill people! I'm having great fun at the moment, thinking up new and interesting ways to kill people for The Accidental Assassin which will be my third book. Writing is fun for me. What's not to love?

It's never too late.

If the block is a general one, I go away and do something else. I might clean, or cook, or walk the dogs, or maybe I'll go out into the garden and do something about the weeding. If I feel blocked during writing a specific scene, I just carry on banging away at the keyboard. I might have to delete 95% of it a little later, but there's usually a few gems in there I can build on. That's the beauty of writing on my laptop; I can save and delete, cut and paste. I can walk away completely, and then go back later and pick it up where I need to.

It's late on Friday night and I just got home after a challenging day. In the kitchen I open the fridge... only to discover there is no more wine!!!!

I love the world Philip Pullman created for Lyra. Mostly I love that everyone has their own daemon. I would love to travel to Lyra's Oxford and discover what form my very own daemon would take.
