What mystery in your own life could be a plot for a book?

B.L. Callaghan Hmm.... When I was younger, I had this watch - it was really cool for the time (ha!) and I lost it the day before my family and I were going away on this big holiday. I was so upset, my mother helped me look for it. We tore my bedroom apart, but didn't find it. That night, after crying myself to sleep, I had this epic, totally vivid dream that I was searching the world to find it. It had become some sort of treasure that everyone was after, and I had to be the first to get to it, or the world as we knew it would end. The next morning, I woke up to find the watch clasped in my hand.
I think that would make an interesting plot for a book. Maybe a YA mystery/adventure with a touch of fantasy?
