Where did you first encounter the dynamism of female relationships that themes your novels? What made you delve into the nuance and duality of them? For me Dare Me was an introduction (as well as Ms Atwood) into the possibility of representing females as multifaceted and complex in lit!

Megan Abbott Boy, I don't remember a time when I wasn't encountering it! It's always been a part of my life--and of most of the women I know. And so it all happened very naturally to me. Hi Megan! I just finished reading Beware The Woman. Who planted the book of scary stories for Jacy to find? If it was Dr. Ash are we being led to believe that the creepy doctor was her dad? Or did Jed somehow get his hands on it? Did I miss something? Loved the story!
