Is Xochitl now a common first name in Latin culture? I know it was originally from the Mexican/Aztec/Nahuatl goddess meaning flower. Just an aside, my first Spanish teacher (age 14) was from Puerto Rico (1957). From her tales, I always wanted to visit PR and now I am too old and infirm. But I have visited much of Latin America from Mexico to Cape Horn. Through this book and Wikipedia, I feel like I have now visited
Luz This name is not common in Puerto Rico. It’s Mexican.
