Is Xochitl now a common first name in Latin culture? I know it was originally from the Mexican/Aztec/Nahuatl goddess meaning flower. Just an aside, my first Spanish teacher (age 14) was from Puerto Rico (1957). From her tales, I always wanted to visit PR and now I am too old and infirm. But I have visited much of Latin America from Mexico to Cape Horn. Through this book and Wikipedia, I feel like I have now visited

Luz This name is not common in Puerto Rico. It’s Mexican.
Regina Xochitl is the Nahuatl word for flower. Nahautl is the language of the Mexica (Aztecs). The Mexica are and were located in Central Mexico. It is not a common name outside of Mexico.
Priscilla Quiñones Ferreira It is a Mexican name and very uncommon for Puertorricans.
