One night soon after my mother passed away I received a phone call. The woman's voice said "Brenda?" The line went dead except for a bit of static. They didn't hang up, I did.
To this day I don't know who it was, and they never called back.
Maybe it wouldn't be a plot for a mystery, but it's still a mystery to me.
