What mystery in your own life could be a plot for a book?

Christine D. Shuck I live in a house built in 1899. Upstairs, the remains of servant's stairs were apparently turned into narrow-depth closets all in a row, but opening onto opposite sides of the house (hard to explain, but bear with me). On one side, the closets are 17" deep, on the other, 19". The base of the servant's stairs, of which only one stair remained when we bought the house, is 34" deep. We have never been able to figure out what happened to the other 15-17" - I keep telling everyone there must be a body in the walls!
