So...what about this ending? What is the significance of Reeth?

Arlyne B. I believe this is a teaser and will be the subject of the next book about Hawthorne.
Eva Reeth is mentioned as a place that Hawthorn lived in his youth in the 2nd installment, The Sentence is Death. Hawthorn denies every hearing of Reeth, when a man named Carlyle or Carlisle, thinks he recognizes Hawthorn, but calls him, "Billy". (Hawthorn's first name is Daniel. His son is named William. Draw your own conclusions.)
Hope that helps.
Sherry I agree with Arlyne, but I don't know this author.
