Hi Juliet, I hope you are well. Several months back I stumbled upon your series, Blackthorn & Grim, and it became one of my favourites. I am rest assured that by now, you're well aware of your gift for creating rich worlds and characters, but I still want to thank you for them. I've now read Heart's Blood, and Wildwood Dancing, and they're also remarkable. What are your favourite novels or series? Warmest wishes.

Hi Amy. Wow, that's a big question! There are so many authors I love. In fantasy, I really enjoyed Sebastien de Castell's Greatcoats series, which is a swashbuckling fantasy adventure with very well-drawn characters and the best fight scenes ever. Also Kings of the Wyld, by Nicholes Eames, and the sequel, Bloody Rose. And I love Robert Dinsdale, who writes both fantasy and historical fiction. My favourite of Robert's novels is Gingerbread, but The Toymakers is also a great read. Other outstanding recent reads: The Once and Future Witches by Alix E Harrow, and The Bone Maker by Sarah Beth Durst. I've got very behind with my Goodreads reviewing, and I don't think I have either of those up yet. I will do it!
If we look at all-time favourite authors, Dorothy Dunnett (The Lymond Chronicles, a wonderful historical novel series) and Dorothy L Sayers (Lord Peter Wimsey and Harriet Vane books.) Sayers was such a stylish writer, and really entertaining.
Warmest wishes back to you!

Do you ever wish that you could go back and give your characters different endings? Although it'd completely alter the Sevenwaters series (and probably take away the motivation of several characters), I'd love a happier ending for Niamh and Ciaran!

Juliet Marillier:
Are you going to re-release the Wildwood Dancing books in hardcover? I saw it on Amazon Australia and the hardcover ones are very expensive including the shipping fees. (guess I'll just get the paperback ones then) Also, which website do you use to buy your books from?
