As a younger man, before I moved to Australia chasing a girl, I called a dirty old town in the north of England my home.
There used to be something of a man around town, a local and national celebrity who misused his power to abuse people.
People knew about it. They did nothing about it. It was tragic and it was quite avoidable. The more I looked at society, the more I noticed this was commonplace. Across the entire western world.
The more you look at life, the more you see that society is a serpent coiling around and devouring itself. Some days we are the head. Some days we are the tail.
Someone, a better and more influential person than I, needs to break the cycle.
