And you should think about the 'dealing with a death of loved one' thing because I, who lost 2 of my siblings in a very young age, was really really sad when I first finish reading the book. I'm not going to bother giving all the reasons why I felt this way unless you ask me to. But, as I said before, you should thinks about how mature the kid is and how was her/his past. It's not the that they wouldn't understand it but being a little depressed if something similar happened to them. All in all, you may want to wait a little more before making your kids read the book.(less)
