Kaylene I feel like eight is an appropriate age. I would suggest even younger, but they may not understand all of the concepts or language in the book. The book is definitely a children's book and is appropriate for very young children in my opinion. In book four and on there is some violence, but not graphic. No strong language or inappropriate content besides some violence. I definitely recommend it!(less)
