One of the best things about this series is the development of the characters and the growth and expansion of the In Death world.

I started with a book that was maybe the 15th in the series, and I enjoyed it. I think I read another one or two out of order. But I got a lot more enjoyment out of each book once I went back to the beginning and started there.

If you're just starting out, I envy you. Wish I had the opportunity to read them all again for the first time! (I've reach each one at least three times.)(less)
