Goodreads asked Niki Green:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Niki Green Don't quit. Don't doubt. Don't compare. Writing is a passion and passions sometimes take a lot out of a person. A writer should also be a reader and a researcher. Read whatever you can get your hands on, don't limit how far your knowledge and imagination can grow. Read what other authors have gone through to get to where they are, but do not compare yourself to them. I think one of the main reasons people give up on any passion they have is because they look at someone else, then think they are not as 'good' as that person and give up. Your story is your story...your imagination is your imagination...your voice is your voice...remember that when you think about quitting or you begin to doubt yourself. We can be our own worst critics...they're are plenty of people out there waiting to comment and critique your work--don't add yourself to that list.
