What did you want to be when you grew up? Was to be an author one of them?

Glynnis Campbell Good question, Marlena! When I was very young, I wanted to be an actress, but I thought that was like saying you wanted to be a princess--something that happened only in fairy tales. I've had a lifetime of dabbling--starting with being a ballerina, then a typographer, then a singer, then a composer, then a transcriber, then a voiceover actress, and finally an author. Though I always loved to write, it didn't occur to me to pursue it as a career until I was well into my 30s.
