I would love to read the original From Blood and Ash series but I can't find the books anywhere (I've checked many book markets online). So is it necessary to read the original series or can I start with this one?

I think they've gone up to closer to $18 now but they are still in stock! Hardcover is also in stock on Amazon but they are nearly double the price.(less)
