Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Paul Koppisch The idea for my series of Jimmy Hong novels was inspired by a trip to South Korea in 2017 with my wife, Kyong Suk. In short order, I had developed the main character and supporting characters but needed a dynamic setting in which to place my characters. I decided that placing Jimmy in Pusan during the Korean War while the city was under siege would create a sense of tension and desperation.
