Stuart Turton That's really kind, thanks! As a writer, I'm easily bored, so I want to keep switching up my writing style, along with my characters and everything else. Each time I do it, I try to understand the genres I'm working in, so I can twist them a bit, while delivering the tropes readers love. It's fun.

Was The 7 1/2 Deaths inspired by the Zero Escape games? I couldn't help but notice some similarities, especially with the third game in the series: Zero Time Dilemma. Loving the book regardless.
