When the Taumoeba are discovered to be able to travel through xenonite towards the end, did anyone else worry that the Nitrogen resiliency was inaccurate? And that the Taumoeba were just hiding in the xenonite to avoid the nitrogen? The book states that this evolution happened in parallel to the Nitrogen resilience, but I think a good scientist would have retested with a plastic/metal environment.

"The Taumoeba can permeate xenonite. No problem. I'll store it in something else. It's still nitrogen-resistant. It doesn't NEED xenonite to survive.
