How do you get inspired to write?

Roger Major I have always been an adept writer. I had the makings of a story in my head way back in the early nineties, over the years it grew longer. Suddenly after twenty five years, i thought to myself "I have something here" I immediately began putting it down what i had in my head, on paper and immediately more and more story came into my head, as it did so I put it down on paper. it was as if it was waiting inside my brain for me to get it all down on paper, and it flowed and even gushed out. I couldn't stop writing, as so much was inside me waiting to come out.
