Hi Alka! I'm so late to the party in just reading The Henna Artist, but was swept away. So already have the new book & love that it centers on Malik. How was the beautiful cover was chosen for THA? I was struck when you mentioned BLUE hibiscus! Had never heard of that. Your descriptions are so vivid! What a beautiful paean to your mother this book is. THANK YOU for writing these. From a fellow Monterey Bay resident.

The Art Department at Harper Collins is amazing, and they did a phenomenal job on both covers--can't wait to see what they do with book #3! The designers read the book and then develop creative ideas. They choose the best ones and run them by me to see if they've struck the right cord. I give them feedback and they start refining. We have to come to a mutual agreement about the cover because, as my agent once told me, they want the author to fall in love with the cover as much as readers will. :-)

Hi alka joshi I asked you a question before, but I have another question if that's ok. What is your 3rd book about and what's it going to be called? Or will it be a surprise. I can't wait to read it. Are you going to write more books in the series or keep it a trilogy? I can't wait to read more books from you. From Sarah
