How old is Ashcombe? I peg him as older than the king, but younger than Blackthorn, (Around 48 or so) but in Assassin's Curse, he mentions having a grandson who inherited the title 'Baron of Chillingham.'

That's about the right age. In those days, marriage was considered differently for the different classes. Commoners tended to marry later, as they needed more time to establish a sufficient household to raise a family. Nobles, on the other hand, often made marriage contracts between their children very early, as they made family alliances, jockeyed for status, and hoped for children to protect their family's holdings.

Hi! Me and my friend are doing little research about the Great fire of London and if it will affect any places mentioned in the book. We’re almost sure that for example the Apothecaries’ guild Great Hall won’t make it but we still don’t know about Blackthorn. We think it’s somewhere at the edge of the fire. Do you think you could tell us if the shop will burn down or at least some hints where‘s the building located?
