Like all worthwhile things, writing is a practice. Do it religiously and recognize that you will never "arrive." Not everything you write is precious. Learn to mine for the gems and toss the rest. Accept that not everyone will love what you write. And if you're exhausted, insecure, and on the edge of giving up—you're probably getting somewhere. The positive feedback? Hold on to that tightly and use it as fuel.
