Did anyone feel that the twist or plot, in the story, is almost forced? Like the author was directing us reader to somewhere else until the end.. it was annoying somehow.

I felt as if the author had done a fantastic job of keeping the reader engaged and then couldn't come up with a plot twist at the end that was the culmination of everything until that point. So he just copped out and made up something. So disappointing.
Forced. Annoying. Cop out.(less)
