Did anyone feel that the twist or plot, in the story, is almost forced? Like the author was directing us reader to somewhere else until the end.. it was annoying somehow.

In my review of the book I also mentioned that the ending was contrived and hardly plausible. Alex Michaelides is fortunate to have a big publisher behind him and also name recognition. Had the book been penned by some unknown newcomer, no one would be talking about it. (less)
