I always stopped by page 30 because I felt the level of detail was too much, and it was at a time when I didn;t have the time or commitment to read an 800 page book. On my final try, I just decided to keep going and read quite a bit the first night (I believe 81 pages, and I read the prologue twice), 9 months later, I had read all books.(less)
