Usually, I take writer's block as a hint that I need to take a break. I'll go outside and play with my son or watch a movie with my husband. Most of the time, my mind clears. Often, I'll even get an idea while I'm taking my break, and I have to jot it down really quickly so that I'll remember when I return. If the break doesn't help, then I just try to power through it. I may have to switch projects, but I keep writing; I don't stop.
