Robin Stevens Hi Laaiba, I definitely can't manage 5K every day! Usually I do more like 1-2K each writing day - and before I can write anything, I have to imagine the scenes I'm going to write, usually days or weeks beforehand. It's almost like I tell myself part of the story in my head, and then put it down on the page later. I make a basic plan of what will happen in the book, too, so I know what I'm aiming for.

But this is all just what works for me - every author has to work out how they like to write, how many words they can write in a day and how best to plan!
