Jodi Taylor Hi Mandy. Thanks for this. When I first started writing, I wanted to make it clear to the reader that this wasn't quite the world we'd known so I sat down and thought about the most unlikely things to happen. One - Britain leaving Europe and two - America closing its borders. I have been giving it some thought recently and possibly trying to weave it into a story, but we're all living in such precarious times at the moment that I'm unwilling to try to pin something down. Hallo I rather buy the short stories in one single book . Is there going to be a book with the remainig short stories? I've thought of buying them individually and discover with dismay that three of them are no longer available: St. Mary's and the Great Toilet Roll Crisis, The Girl with a Pearl in her nose and The Muse of History . Thank you for your amazing characters and stories! I haven't been as taken with a story for ages as I was with Just One Damned Thing .. <3 I started to question my own assumption that this was set in the near future. You mention riots and the "Battersea Barricades" and the US "closing their borders" made me think this was set in a future post-system-collapse world with a deliberately vague date? Am I wrong?
