What was your inspiration for the Picklemen (or in other words, where in the world did that come from)?

Ooo, what an interesting question. Well, if you mean the name I just love the word "pickle" and the color green so that's kinda were that developed. If you mean the idea of a secret society of evil geniuses scientist types, I just find something innately sinister about clubs, the us/them mentality, tribalism, and obsession. Exploring this concept in different guises comes up a lot in my stuff. How ideologies can become cult behavior. That kind of thing.

Do you think you''ll ever write more for Biffy & Lyall? I love their little piece of story in the Parasol Protectorate, and that they got their own (short) story in Romancing the Werewolf, but they're so lovely together and I just want more. Pretty please with sugar on top?

Hi Gail, You have fabulous style and completely rock it. I've read a few of your blog posts regarding how you choose clothes for yourself and they are fantastic insight and advice. I was wondering when/how long did it take you to find your "style"? I feel like I'm pretty meh in clothing and would love to have a geeky chic style of dress but am not confident in it. Just trying to gather more advice from a style icon!
