I am currently reading The Memory of You. I was born and raised in Connecticut and I have never heard of a place named Sanctuary Sound. Is there a particular town on the Long Island Sound coastline that you were thinking about when you wrote this book?

Hi, Patricia! Thank you for reading one of my books. Sanctuary Sound is a fictional town--a sort of amalgam of towns like Branford, Guilford, and the like. I wish it were real, though! :-) Hope you enjoy the story. Have a great day.

The writing style of In The Cards was all first person, alternating between Lindsey and Levi. You wrote recently that this book was the first manuscript you sold, but If I recall correctly, you did not use this alternating first person style in any subsequent book. Two questions: Why did you change your writing style, and do you intend to go back to the alternating first person narrative in the future?
