idil I didn’t like the ending which is why I have it 3 stars even though most of the book, it deserved 4. It felt very rushed to me. It was a book with a s…moreI didn’t like the ending which is why I have it 3 stars even though most of the book, it deserved 4. It felt very rushed to me. It was a book with a slow but steady paste and I liked Jack and the whole writing process and the concepts of creativity, identity and motherhood. But then it completely changed into a different novel. It felt like the author wanted to end it in the Gone Girl way. The problem with this approach was that in Gone Girl we were invested in the character, whereas here we get to know (real) Anna in the last chapters and she is a psychopath I personally don’t care for as I don’t know her enough if it makes sense. I love twisted characters but not presented in the last chapters. I felt sorry for Jack and that was about it. (less)
