If you know they are mature enough to handle that type of literature why stop them…moreI feel like it can be appropriate for young kids who can handle it. If you know they are mature enough to handle that type of literature why stop them? I read romance books and murder mystery all the time. While some people may think it's "inppropiate" for middle schoolers, you have to introduce them to many disturbing topics anyway so why not start at grade 7-9(less)
