Reactive asked this question about The Thursday Murder Club (Thursday Murder Club, #1):
Have I got this right? When the Murder Club detect that their friend John has killed someone in an effort to protect his wife, they insist that the police must be informed, and hint to John that really it would be better for everyone if he just took his own life. Meanwhile, at least some of Club know that Bogdan is also a murderer, but are happy to let him go scot free so he can do odd jobs for them? Really?

It seemed highly, highly unlikely anyone would figure out Penny had anything to do with the bones in the graveyard, but even if they did find out - Penny would have been dead before the police managed to link her to that old crime. Plus, the man John killed (Ian) would have been his best ally, because Ian didn't give a fig about the bodies in the graveyard. He was planning to just move them somewhere else. Why would he have stirred up trouble? He was an AH sure, a womanizer and greedy developer, but he didn't deserve to die over the bones things.

Plus the way it plays out, isn't Elizabeth now guilty of manslaughter for killing Penny? (less)
