I am a dog sledder and have two sled dogs of my own I go to a kennel called Luna Lobos in Utah where they taught me to dog sled. I was wondering how you discipline your dogs because it is harder for me because I don't have a kennel to keep them so they have to be trained to be house dogs and sled dogs and I am training my puppy and it is hard. So I was wondering if you have any house/ sled dogs and how you train them?

Terry Lynn Johnson The best advice for training is to focus on positive reinforcement - not discipline. Simply paying attention to them when they are doing something you want to encourage, and not paying attention when they are doing something you do not want to encourage. The key is to do it immediately. As example, if you don't want them to jump up, do not pet them when they do, but rather immediately turn away from them, and then praise them when they are back down on the ground. Good luck!
