Is it scary? I'm not a fan of scary horror, but did like Interview With the Vampire - didn't find it scary at all. To be specific, is this the kind of book that would give you the creeps late at night in a dark quite house?

Not really, unless you have a fear of walking alone in dark places unlit by any lights.
