Kaylee asked P.C. Cast:

What is it like collaborating with another author? Despite that author being your daughter, of course, did you ever have major disagreements or nuances with each other's ideas and decisions? Or did you find that you were usually on the same page and found that building upon each other's ideas made for stronger storytelling, less time feeling stuck, etc.?

P.C. Cast I love collaborating with Kristin (present tense - not past). She and I have worked together for well over a decade (though she was my editor for House of Night, and didn't do any writing). We do co-author our new series, SISTERS OF SALEM. We don't have major disagreements. We brainstorm together and then outline together. If a plot or character issue comes up we discuss it like two people who respect each other and value one another's options. There are strengths to working alone, and to collaborating. I think whether it makes authors stronger or not depends on the two people and their relationship. In our case, we're an excellent team.
