I was hoping he would finally tell Bronwyn (spelling?) that he loved her and they would come together. Why didn't they? Also, are we to assume that he had a child with Ceinwen but never meets them?

This maybe one of the reasons Huw was leaving. She did lock her bedroom door every night and it was frowned upon to marry your brother's wife in Victorian times.
Yes I think Huw was a father and was unable to find Ceinwen as the whole family moved away to another valley.(less)
