Princess Amarinda means so so much to me because she’s so different from other young women in fantasy—‘princessy’, kind, honest but not cruel, brave, diplomatic, and someone who puts others’ wants/needs before her own. I’d never seen a female character written that way until I read your books, and it meant so much to me. So I was wondering: did you have that in mind when you wrote her? Or did it just “happen”?
