What was the first book you wrote and how did you get your first book published? I really want to be an author but I don't know what to do to get it edited and published.

The first book I published was Elliot and the Goblin War, but I wrote four manuscripts before that one that were all total garbage – they were just me learning how to write. If you want to be an author - awesome! But understand that it takes time to learn to write well. So for now, just write and write and write. Show your work to others and get feedback, honest feedback, even if it hurts a little. And consistently work toward getting better until you feel you are ready to begin submitting that work to an editor. It is a long road, but trust me, you can get there!

Hi! Just wanted to say that Words on Fire is my favorite book of all time and I've read quite and few. It deserves so much more hype than it gets and I can't wait to see what other historical fiction books you write in the future. I have them all! I was even wondering if you could take into consideration a historical fiction book about the American Revolution? I would immediately buy and read that.
