On page 146 in the hardcover edition, Mac wonders "what Barrons once loved so greatly that he was able to claw his way back across that thin dark line, long ago." Barrons tells Mac that she'll "figure it out. In time." I didn't figure it out. Did Mac? Did I miss something?
