I really like Brenda too but I would still say that Thomas and Teresa go well together.

Also, if you read The Fever Code, the book explains how close Thomas and Teresa were with each other in their childhood, and Brenda was just not part of that young childhood reunion. Brenda was only with Thomas in the Scorch and part of Death Cure.

And, of course, the movies, especially The Death Cure... that truly proved how smart and kind and trustworthy Teresa was at that moment when she saved Thomas' life towards the end of the movie. (less)
