What gave you the idea to come up with "Keeper of he Lost Cities"?

Shannon Messenger I've covered this answer in previous questions, so you might want to scroll through my previous answers because I gave other details over there. But one of the VERY early seeds was actually more of a goal than an idea. I wanted to write a "magical" book without using magic. I felt like everything cool with magic had already been done 1000 times over. Plus I thought it might make the fantastical story feel more "real." So I spent months researching "magical" creatures and trying to come up with ways I could stay true to their lore without using magic and that's how I came up with my elves. :)
