What’s the best thing about being a writer?

Adam Stevens The freedom to "write my own story." Flat out, no questions asked. While I would, in these early stages love to see my books sell, and be loved by all... I know that's not going to happen. But to creatively and artistically express myself, its a freedom of expression that helps me deal with my own daily life challenges, reflecting on the past, so I can deal with the future. What I wish is that someday, somewhere, that one reader that absolutely falls in love with my characters, and doesn't shut up about them. That's how you buy that 100 acres of rolling green wilderness, and make a future. I could write from there.
