Adam Stevens I have no singular most recent book as I am working on so many. But finished and published works? I guess Moments in Time: It is never too late to come out, and Moments in Time: It is never too late to start over vaguely reflect on my life story to a small degree. But mostly I place an amazing credit to how I remember a memory of how it should have been, and if you could go back in time, and relive a memory the way it should have been, I think I inspired myself to pour my heart and soul into Georgie, and develop him in my subconscious for years, and now here he is in print, or at least 1's and 0's...
Adam Stevens This may sound lame, and not what you expected but Grandma, listening to all of my adventures in life actually inspired me to write, way back when I was a teenager (I cant believe I was that young once), and I have been writing on and off. As technology made its advancements, original versions of stories were lost away. Occasionally "Mom" will find an old story that was lost away in a box in the back of some closet. Those are amazing to read. I am glad she never read about me life as a teen. Although she had little interest in my life back then.
So, Yea... Grandma inspired me to write. And finally I am writing (and publishing).
Adam Stevens As of 11/3/14, I am working fruitfully on the final book of my first series, Moments in Time Detours: Sometimes the wrong way can be the right way. Its the end of the trilogy that will hopefully captivate an audience after reading, reviewing and discussing their favorite character or scene that they wish me to elaborate and embellish upon. That will be fuel for more Moments in Time books.
But I am also working on "Innocence" a Moments in Time book 4, where "Warren" tells the story from his perspective of his life before "Georgie," and how they met, what Warren was thinking during all of Georgies adventures... It is going to be an amazing story.
I am also working on "The Academy" which is the culmination of my lifes endeavor. What I am most passionate about, and what I feel is the purpose of my life.
Finally I am working on a six book series about 100 pages each (Where all of the novels are 350 pages or so). The rainbow reading series will be called "The 99 cent Quickie" 100 pages that can easily be read in about three hours or less. These shorter, more intimate stories will peak a readers interest at the price point, and story line, but each story I THINK will be different reads, different main characters. I mean Georgie can't have all the fun. One perspective was to elaborate on some of my more minor characters from Moments in Time, and I think that is a great idea.
Yes, I work a full time job too, and that so gets in the way of my creativity. Geesh!
Adam Stevens I am still aspiring. Two five star reviews does not an author make. My goal was to get ISBN's and get paperbacks out there within six months of self-publishing the first e-book. Ask me this question again in March 2015.
Adam Stevens The freedom to "write my own story." Flat out, no questions asked. While I would, in these early stages love to see my books sell, and be loved by all... I know that's not going to happen. But to creatively and artistically express myself, its a freedom of expression that helps me deal with my own daily life challenges, reflecting on the past, so I can deal with the future. What I wish is that someday, somewhere, that one reader that absolutely falls in love with my characters, and doesn't shut up about them. That's how you buy that 100 acres of rolling green wilderness, and make a future. I could write from there.
Adam Stevens I have not yet experienced writers block. What inspires me to write are old memories that resurface. Writing down thoughts and conveying the messages in my mind are scattered and incoherent sometimes. For example. I have at least ten books going right now. When I wake from a dream, I write. When I have a thought provoking memory, I write. Sometimes I fall asleep wearily (perhaps from writing) and am thinking about that perfect scene that will make the story pop, or fall asleep thinking about what the main character is going to do next. When I awake, BAM! It's is most often there. Problem is, work usually gets in the way.
So, writers block. Not there yet. Maintaining the voices in my head screaming to come out, now organizing my thoughts... That's what I deal with on a daily basis.
