Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Van Tellfaster I spent a career in the U.S. Air Force and lived overseas on several occasions. When I retired from the military, I went back to work for the U.S. government, working at the U.S. Department of Transportation. I always wanted to write a novel, and when I left DOT, I had plenty of ideas to get me started with writing my first thriller. The book combines my experiences in both the military and working at DOT and provided lots of material to introduce real-to-life characters challenged throughout the novel.
