One potential plot for a future book might be based on a visit I made to Hong Kong a number of years ago. My visit was full of encounters with people from a culture I was not familiar with. I could envision introducing a mystery story into such a novel.

Knock on wood, I haven't yet experienced writer's block, and hope I never do.

If you really want to become a writer, don't give it too much thought. I recommend you pick up some good guides on how to write, that is, in the particular genera you enjoy, in book stores, online, etc., and just get started. Once you've come up with a draft acceptable to you, find someone, a professional, and get some constructive feedback. Then go from there. Good luck!

When I wrote my first novel, The Private Investigator, I left the door open to write a follow-on book. I am now doing just that, and I'm working on my first draft of my second thriller. I haven't name it yet, but I'm close to landing on a good name for my second novel. If you're interested, you should read my first novel, because some of the characters introduced in The Private Investigator will return in my second book. Of course, there will be other new and interesting characters in my upcoming novel. Stay tuned.

It's pretty easy for me to get inspired to write. I waited many years to get the opportunity to roll up my sleeves, and give 100 percent time and attention to writing. It turns out that I'm having blast at it!

I spent a career in the U.S. Air Force and lived overseas on several occasions. When I retired from the military, I went back to work for the U.S. government, working at the U.S. Department of Transportation. I always wanted to write a novel, and when I left DOT, I had plenty of ideas to get me started with writing my first thriller. The book combines my experiences in both the military and working at DOT and provided lots of material to introduce real-to-life characters challenged throughout the novel.
